"The morning cup of coffee has an exhilaration about it which the cheering influence of the afternoon or evening cup of tea cannot be expected to reproduce."

Coffees

Colombian Supremo is a well-balanced, rich coffee. The Supremo designation refers to the largest and best coffee beans available from this South American country. Well balanced with medium to full body, full aroma, mellow fruit and nut (walnut) flavors with some chocolate undertones, slightly acidic with a mild tartness on finish. It’s aromatic yet mild intensity and hint of fruit with little aftertaste make it good any time of day. Even Juan Valdez would be proud!

Sumatran Mandheling is a dry-processed coffee from the Indonesian island of Sumatra.  Reminiscent of the jungle it has a little wildness to it.  It has a hint of butterscotch and bittersweet chocolate. This woodsy coffee has a wonderful lingering taste on the palette

Celebes Kalossi is the traditional name of a coffee from the country of Sulawesi in Indonesia. The coffee shares many of the same attributes of its neighbors Java and Sumatra. Full bodied though lighter and more complex than Sumatran, it is well balanced, low in acid, has nutty overtones with delicate chocolate aftertaste and a velvety finish. A perfect compliment to our desserts.

Costa Rican La Minita is one of Central America's finest coffee producers. The rich volcanic soil and mild Pacific climate of the Tarrazu region produces a coffee with bright acidity, full body and aroma, slightly sweet in the cup with hints of spice and lush fruit with a slight smokiness.

Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee, first found growing wild in this northern African country on the Arabian Gulf. Ethiopian Harrar has a light to medium body. The coffee has earthy and wine notes with hints of spice, brightly acidic with a berry like aroma.

Guatemalan Certified Organic
One of the finest coffees from Guatemala. The coffee has a lively acidity in the cup, well-rounded flavors with medium to full body, hints of chocolate, spice and smoke. Dry white wine notes in the cup and aroma.

Kenya AA
This mellow, well balanced and medium bodied. It has dry wine-like characteristics with blackberry and citrus notes. This coffee has a lush floral aroma with a crisp finish.

Organic El Salvador

The British introduced coffee to Honduras in the 1800's.   It's a mild coffee with medium body, a sharp acidity and just a hint of sweetness.

A bit about coffee producing regions of the world

African Estate Coffees are intense, full-bodied coffees that reflect the strength and spirit of Africa's high mountains and abundantly rich soils. Although they differ slightly among regions, they tend to have a natural sweetness and complexity synonymous with African coffee.

South & Central America produce and export more coffee than any other continent in the world. The Arabicas tend to be balanced in acidity with a mellow body and an excellent, smooth flavor. South American Coffees are a popular choice for blending, yet also make a very nice & smooth drinking cup of coffee when not roasted too dark.

Asia produces some of the world's most unusual, intriguing and highly exotic coffees. The most outstanding examples have an aromatic spiciness, strong flavor and full body, yet are typically low in acidity. Coffee Purists will be interested in our fine Estate Coffees from every part of the world where the bean is grown. Those seeking adventure in coffee drinking will also be pleased; we carry a uniquely vast selection of Blended Coffees, Rare Coffees, French Roasted Coffees, and Flavored Coffees.
